Why Sound Meditation Works — And Why I’m So Drawn to It
Sound is having a moment — and for good reason. More and more people are feeling the call to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with themselves in ways that feel natural, calming, and safe. And sound meditation offers exactly that.
In my own journey, I’ve learned through Human Design that I’m what’s called a High Sound being. That means my body actually digests life through sound — through clean, harmonious, resonant tones. When I’m immersed in gentle frequencies like crystal singing bowls or tuning forks, I feel clearer, more grounded, and more “me.” It’s as if my whole system gets recalibrated.
Even though my primary sense is smell — which makes me instinctively sensitive to the energy of people and spaces — sound has become a tool I trust deeply. It helps me shift what doesn’t belong, and return to stillness. And that’s what I share in my sessions.
I like to call it sound meditation rather than sound healing, because I’m not here to heal anyone. I simply hold the space and offer the sound. The real magic is that your own body knows what to do when given the chance to slow down, reset, and harmonise.
Each of my sessions follows a simple but powerful format:
✨ We begin with breathwork to clear the energy and create space
✨ Then a guided meditation to settle the body and quiet the mind
✨ Followed by sound — a journey inward, where the vibrations support your body’s own natural healing process
It’s a meditation you feel in your bones. And everyone participates, just by being open, present, and allowing themselves to receive.
People often tell me afterwards, “I didn’t realise how much I needed that” or “I finally felt calm for the first time in ages.” That’s the beauty of this work — you don’t have to understand it to feel its effects.
If you’re curious, consider this your invitation. Your next sound meditation is waiting — and I’d love to welcome you there. If you're living on the Gold Coast - I hold Sound Meditations every month at Currumbin.
