Katie's story

But trust? That took me years.
I was already trained in Reiki, and Reiki made sense to me—I could feel the heat in my hands, the subtle flow of energy, the way it shifted something real in the body. Crystals, on the other hand, felt… silent. They just sat there. Pretty, yes, but I couldn’t feel them.
During my crystal training with a teacher who had worked with stones for over 30 years, I watched her place them on people’s chakras during Reiki sessions. She told me, “the crystals are doing the work, leave those areas alone.” But I couldn’t. My hands would hover, aching to send Reiki, because I didn’t believe the crystals were doing anything.
So, I started experimenting. I invited the energy of the crystal—like the softness of Rose Quartz—into my imagination while I gave Reiki. And to my surprise, my body responded. Once my mind connected with the idea of the crystal, I could feel it. My imagination wasn’t faking it—it was the bridge to embodiment.
That’s when I realised what crystals were really doing for me: they got me out of my tangled thoughts and into my body. I’m a deep thinker—my mind can be obsessive, analytical, always running. Crystals became an anchor. A physical object I could hold or place on my body, something to focus my imagination on so my busy mind could quiet down. And when my mind stepped aside, my body finally had space to be felt. To breathe. To heal.
That’s why I created Cryst Collective. Not to convince you that crystals are “magical,” but to give you the same tools that helped me. My guided crystal meditations are designed to help you get out of your head and back into your body—because when you do, life feels lighter, more peaceful, and more okay, even if just for a moment.
Crystals aren’t here to do the work for you. They’re here to help you reconnect with yourself. And if you let them, they’ll remind you how good it feels to come home to your body.
