This chakra is all about self-love, giving and receiving love, acceptance, forgiveness, compassion and unity.
Relationships that relate most to the Heart Chakra are obviously those relationships closest to your heart - those with your parents, siblings and children. These relationships are all about love and connection. If there was a lack of love (perceived or real) in the beginning of life, it can be difficult to allow the heart to open.
The message of the heart chakra is to accept the oneness of all life: Unity. Expanding and connecting to the heart is about choosing to see the love in people; the ability to see yourself in another. The meaning of the popular yoga greeting 'Namaste' is 'the divine in me, recognises the divine in you'.

You can really feel when someone has an open heart. Those people you meet that are warm, inviting and tender. They almost feel homely, and make you feel at ease in their presence.
